Celtics Heat Up With Game 5 Win

Boston Secures NBA Finals Trip

Historic Comeback Complete

The Boston Celtics are once again Eastern Conference champions, punching their ticket to the NBA Finals with a hard-fought 110-97 win over the Miami Heat in Game 5. The Celtics, who came into the series as slight underdogs, defied the odds by rallying from a 3-1 deficit to secure their berth in the Finals.

Boston's dominance in the regular season, highlighted by a 33-point blowout win over Miami, set the stage for their postseason success. The Celtics' defense, anchored by Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart, proved to be a major factor in their comeback, as they held the Heat to just 40.3% shooting from the field in Game 5.

The Heat, who became just the second eighth seed to reach the NBA Finals, nearly pulled off a stunning upset. Miami stormed back from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game with just over two minutes remaining, but the Celtics held their nerve and closed out the game with a 6-0 run.

"It feels like it was always meant to be," said Celtics head coach Ime Udoka after the win. "Our team showed incredible resilience and determination, and we're excited to represent the Eastern Conference in the Finals."

The Celtics will now face either the Golden State Warriors or the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals, which begin on June 2.
